What to expect at a birth session

Powerful Photos

Birth is one of my favorite life experiences to document. First off, it is an absolute honor to be in the room with you as you bring new life into this world. I will respect all your wishes while photographing your labor and delivery. I aim to be a quiet presence in the room, documenting the event as it unfolds. I happily photograph home births, birthing center births and hospital births.

I am on-call two weeks before your due date to two weeks after your due date. If you give birth outside of that timeframe, I will still do everything in my power to be there however, there might be a few more obstacles in my way. I start documenting you when you are in active labor; that can be at home, in a hospital or a birthing center. I stay with you until one hour after you give birth. It can be arranged for me to stay later if you want documentation of your baby meeting family members such as older siblings or grandparents. Upon booking a birth session we will go into much more detail to be the best prepared.

Birth photography produces some of the most powerful photographs. These photos help you process, relive, and heal. If you are on the fence, let this be a push to choose to peruse getting them. There is nothing quite like birth photos.
